Kindergarten Prayer

Dear Father,

Today I watched as my first son started the next chapter in his life. I know it is not that big of a step for him since he can't even jump more than three feet yet, but for me I already realize that I am preparing him to be on his own.

Watching as he walked confidently into the classroom while others were crying, taking initiative to introduce himself to others, and respectfully taking his place in his seat, made this Father proud but ever knowledgeable of Your grace afforded to me and my family for a child so precious. May his years of education be sweet, may he grow in understanding, may he make many friends along the way, but of greatest importance my he become a beacon of light for Christ in a fallen world, the greatest of challenges. My hearts desire is captured by John Piper in his prayer for his own sons in Taste and See.

I pray Lord that you will turn his heart towards you, even as he walks with soon to be new friends. Take your Word and sow that seed in open humble soil, send its roots down to the inner heart and make an oak of faith. Oh, Christ take all my sons for your servants, obliterate rebellion from their hearts and grow them into godly manhood, full of love to you and love to men. Let them not love the world, not give a hoot for things or praise. But may Your glory be their passion day and night until the Kingdom comes. Amen

Solomon my son, have a great first day of Kindergarten! You are in His hands and always will be. Live out Proverbs 3:1-12

The Power of the Personal Invitation!

Hamas leader's son, now a Christian, says only Gospel can transform Mideast
Posted on Aug 11, 2008 | by Mark Kelly

LA JOLLA, Calif. (BP)--When a volunteer from the United Kingdom met a young Middle Eastern man in Jerusalem's old city and invited him to a Bible study, he had no idea he was talking to the son of a key figure in the Hamas terrorist organization.

And while the volunteer surely hoped Masab Yousef would hear the Gospel and accept Christ, he had no clue how that invitation -- and Yousef's decision for Christ four years later -- would eventually reverberate throughout the Middle East and perhaps even the world.

524students.com

Parents and students, it has finally arrived! 524students.com Jacob Via, Communications Director at Richland Creek, has been diligently working since April to see this site up and running.

I hope that each of you will take the time to browse the new site and check out the content and information provided. In it you will find everything from a Parent’s page to descriptions of our weekly ministry programs. Please use 524students.com to find information about event times, costs, and registration.

You will also find downloads for Medical Release Forms and other important info for parents. There will also be guides for weekly family devotions coming soon. I would love to see every family active in worship together during the week and I hope this will help along the way. It can be found in the downloads section of the Parent’s page.

Check out the media link! There you will find our very own You Tube channel 524students. Check out the Creeker Call, Sermon Teasers, and life in RCCC Student ministries. Leave a comment or just watch for a good laugh.

But wait there is more! Links to RC3 Students Facebook group, my blog, pictures of events and programs, and coming soon audio of Overflow messages will all be there!
You can also use this site as a tool to introduce your friends to the Creek. Give out the address and they can find all the info they need to come and find a place at the Creek.

I welcome any suggestions or feedback that will help make this site user friendly and beneficial to both students and parents. Give us your ideas and lets make it happen.

I pray that this site will help to build community at the Creek and draw others into the family here at RCCC. Students you are catching the vision for what God has in store. This will be one small step in seeing Wake County impacted by the awesome students here at the Creek.

One last thought, send me your videos of where you can do the creeker call and they just might make the 524students channel.
